They are steadfast, but not stubborn. Temperance is considered a cornerstone of Lundan society, and it has served them well for many centuries. Lunda has a strong paladin tradition, and even those who are not paladins tend to hold to the tenets of the oath. Lundan engages in prolific trade with other nations. Their largest partners are the nearby Malteca and Deshermet, but their trade extends all across the roll, going as far north as Zheng through the straits of the Ohm Basin, and around the tip of the continent to engage in trade with the western nations. Some brave voyagers are even said to have made it all the way to Morozemlya and back. Government The Prince of Lunda is elected by popular vote of Lundan landowners. The prince is considered the steward of the country, leading its armies and managing its expansive trade networks. They have a sizeable navy, which escorts convoys through rougher patches of water. Inhabitants Lundans are outgoing and friendly, doing their best to establish positive relations with as many nations as possible to foster relations and trade. Lundans have extremely dark skin, with some being as black as obsidian, and their hair is dark and coarse. In their homeland, they usually wear light, loose clothing to combat the heat of the sun, though on voyages they will bring clothing suited to the climates of their destinations. Geography Climate Despite its proximity to the coast, Lunda is hot and dry, receiving just enough rain to support agriculture. It tends to stay the same temperature year-round, meaning every season is growing season. Ecology Much of the nation is a semi-desert plain, with some grassland to the South. To the West, the terrain transitions into thick woodland near the border with Ngonda. Landscape Lunda gradually slopes upward as one heads West. </pane><pane id="tab-history"> History </pane> <pane id="tab-religion"> Religion Deities and Philosophies DeityPortfolioAlignmentAlignment (allowed)PHB DomainsOther DomainsSymbolFavored Weapon AmanchyeGoddess of LawLGLG, NG, LNGood, Protection, Strength, War Decorative ShieldSpear AmazuGod of ErasureLEAny Evil, Lawful NeutralDeath, Destruction, Evil, Magic Quarterstaff Ikenna EmekaGod of the EarthNAnyAnimal, Earth, Plant Longbow Ndulu UcheeGod of the CommunityNAnyCommunityNobility, Oracle Greatsword ChikereGoddess of TrickeryCEAny Non-LawfulChaos, Trickery, War Longsword OkuGod of the SunCGAny Non-EvilCharm, Fire, Sun Morningstar Uchena OkkoGoddess of MagicNAny Non-EvilLuck, Magic, Plant Dagger Amanchye Head of the Lundan-Ngondan Pantheon, primarily worshipped in Lunda.
